WHAT IS BPA? ARE G2V BOTTLES SAFE?
All G2V Stainless Steel bottles and lids are made from fully FDA-approved materials, and contain absolutely no Bisphenol A (BPA). BPA is found in some types of plastics and may leach into food or drinks. Our plastic lids are fully-recyclable Polypropylene #5 and contain no BPA.
CAN I PUT HOT LIQUIDS IN THE BOTTLES?
As hot as you can handle! Because the bottle is metal, it will get very HOT. For our Single-Wall bottles, we don’t recommend anything, say, hotter than medium-hot tap water. Warm liquids are just fine. Our Zero Mass products are meant to be used with very hot or very cold beverages without affecting the temperature of the outside surface. Our current lid lineup is meant for only cold beverages. We will be adding lids for hot beverages soon so you can drink your hot tea or coffee from our Zero Mass bottles.
CAN I PUT MY BOTTLE IN THE FREEZER?
No. When water freezes, it expands and could damage the bottle. Cold water and any amount of ice cubes is just fine.
HOW DO I CLEAN THE BOTTLES?
The bottles are dishwasher safe and can also be washed with a simple bottle brush and dish soap. The lids should not be placed in the dishwasher and should be washed by hand. For more information on cleaning and removal of stains, please see our Care & Use page.
WHAT KIND OF LIQUIDS CAN I PLACE IN THE BOTTLE?
Because Stainless Steel is inert and food safe, any beverage, including juices or milk (or even food) can be placed in the bottle. Beverages that may spoil, like juices or milk, should not be carried at room temperature for more than a few hours in our Single-Wall bottles.
